Generation Gap

By Keith Slater (Canadian)

Directed by Keith Slater

A young woman wants to use the money her grandparents have put aside for her to start a business with her fiancé, instead of for a college education. When she has a fight with her grandfather (a stroke victim, unable to speak) she leaves in a temper and suffers a traffic accident. As a result, she needs a kidney transplant and he is the best match. Against the grandmother's wishes, the girl's mother persuades him to donate the organ,

but he dies after the surgery. The grandmother becomes bitter and, in the ensuing recriminations, the family learns a long-hidden secret, explaining why the girl's father left them after a crime committed years ago.
