Happy Birthday Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre

By on

I imagine you are as surprised as we are to find out that TODAY is the official 80th Birthday of Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre.  This fact, along with many other wonderful ones that we will be sharing with you shortly, were uncovered as we plan for our 80th anniversary season.

On the night of February 24th, 1935 members of the community gathered at the YMCA in downtown Kitchener to discuss the formation of a community theatre group; by the end of the meeting an executive had been elected and plans for the first production were in motion.

I've attached the original articles of incorporation for you to look at.  We, the Board, wanted to share them with you today so we can all remember how this wonderful company of ours came to be.

I want to say how thrilled I am to be sharing this with you, our wonderful members and dedicated volunteers.  We wouldn't be here today without your hard work and patronage.

Happy 80th Birthday Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre!

Stacey Saunders, on behalf of the Board of Directors.
