By on
KWLT is incredibly proud of the cast and crew of Lion in the Streets for a very successful run. While we were not selected to progress to the next level in the festival, we did receive a few awards at the Western Ontario Drama League general meeting today.

The Travelling Adjudicator, Lindsay Price, made the following awards:
  • The cast of Lion in the Streets won the Inez Hayes Memorial Award for Outstanding Ensemble Work
  • Ryan Bassett won a Special Adjudicator’s Award for Contrasting Roles
  • Chris Rovers was awarded the Kincardine Theatre Guild Award for Outstanding Sound Design
KWLT was also nominated for The Elmira Theatre Company Award for Best Visual Production.

Congratulations to all of the nominees and award winners, and to the entire cast and crew of Lion in the Streets for putting on such a great show!

KWLT would also like to congratulate Theatre Tillsonburg, Cambridge Community Players, Theatre Sarnia, Ghost Light Players, and Elmira Theatre Company for being selected to progress to the WODL Festival in March, which will be hosted by Guelph Little Theatre. The full results will be available on the WODL Festival page.
