Woodsounds is back with our fourth intimate night of music, featuring two piano-based solo acts.
Sarah Pearson: contemporary singer-songwriter and music therapist, healing the community one song at a time. Her prog-pop piano grooves and unmistakable voice have made her a unique presence in the KW music scene. Sarah is happily writing and recording an album this year thanks to a generous grant from the Waterloo Region Arts Fund.
Cedar Wood Piano: dreamy psychedelic soundscapes, weaving spontaneous melodies through chords and textures unkown. Using as a starting point anything from charts and lead sheets, to just presence and intuitive feeling alone, his piano music is inspired in part by Keith Jarrett and other jazz improvisors, minimalism, and contact improv (a form of dance).
Doors at 7:30, music starting at 8pm.
Tickets are $10 at the door.
Beer and other beverages, and snacks, sold before and after the show, as well as during intermission. (Yes, you can bring your goodies into the theatre to enjoy during the music!)
