October Staged Reading: The Parachute

Staged readings are back!

Our first play reading this year will be The Parachute by Dame Florence Eveleen Eleanore Bell

ABOUT THE PLAY
A man jumps out of a plane near a small village. Who is he? What is he doing? And why does he keep doing it? The Parachute is an absurd little comedy that, while set in the inter-war period is nevertheless timeless.

THE EVENT
The staged readings are Pay What You Can, with proceeds going to KWLT. The show is Saturday, October 14 at 8PM. After the play, we'll have a Q&A session with the cast!

THE CAST
Lynne McIntee as Mrs. Maitland
Julie Cook as Mary
Kıvanç Tos as Tom Welburn
Mara Haasnoot as Mrs. Welburn
Tim Campbell as Canon Hartley

THE PROCESS
The cast will do a readthru and some tablework on Sunday October 1 at the theatre. Then they have two weeks to go over the script, make notes, do research, etc. Finally, the team spends the day on Saturday, October 14 rehearsing the script, and performs on Saturday night. They will be reading the script from music stands, allowing you to focus on the reading. Let them transport you into the script!
