[KWLT Announce] Battle of the Bards: Friday, December 8th!

Hey KWLT types,

I found out awhile back about the announce at kwlt.org mailing list, but I
keep forgetting to use it. Well, the Battle of the Bards list is on the
fritz, so I'm finally going to take advantage of your expressed interest
in local theatre-ish events. To those who get Bards announcements multiple
times...sorry.

If you're unfamiliar with Battle of the Bards, you should start by
checking out our Web site at www.battleofthebards.ca. And then you should
come to our show on Friday, December 8th, at 8pm.

At present, we have nine performers lined up for the evening:

Adam Bleskie
Anita Kilgour
Ann Buchanan
Anthony Damaio
Ashley Bissonnette and Alex Lunde
Bridget Myers
Eric Logan
Robert Burke
Roger Sumner

This leaves us room for a few more, so if you're interested in getting up
in front of a crowd and doing whatever you feel like to entertain the
masses, fire me a message! Also, I need to know who's coming, so e-mail me
back to reserve seats. People who reserve get in for $5 at the door.
Everyone else gets in for $8. So if you think you even just might kinda
sorta wanna come out, definitely reserve a seat (it helps me figure out
how many chairs to set up).

This is our last show of 2006 (obviously), which has been a great year for
Bards. I'm hoping we have a big crowd to finish things off nicely and hold
us over until the next show in February. So, I'm going to do something
special at the end of the show, which may or may not involve a prize.

I like giving stuff away, so it'll probably involve a prize.

As usual, we'll be at the Button Factory on Regina Street in Waterloo.
Doors open at 7:30pm, and the show kicks off at 8pm. If you've never been
out to Bards before, I expect you won't be disappointed.

For those of you who aren't able to join us, have a happy holiday season
on behalf of the Bards crew (Danielle, myself, and that John Milne guy in
England)!
