Join us for the second event of the 80th Season Studio Series, our February staged reading. We're looking for actors and a stage manager.

This year our staged readings will feature shows from our first year; up next is George Bernard Shaw's Revolutionary-era play, The Devil's Disciple!

As scripted 10m, 3f (however, there is scope for cross casting)

When will you be needed
Reading: February 7, 1pm
Rehearsal: February 13, 9:30-5
Performance: February 13, 8pm
We will do a readthru and some tablework on Sunday February 7 at the theatre. Then, you'll have a week to go over your script, make notes, do research, etc. Finally, we'll rehearse the script on Saturday, and perform on Saturday night.
About the play
This dark comedy provides a defense for a rascally drinker who announces in a Puritan New Hampshire household that he’s at the service of Lucifer. Set during a turning point in the American Revolution, the play pokes fun at self-important piety and political arrogance with equal gusto, centers on an act of great self-sacrifice by the title character, Dick Dudgeon.

Directed by Adrienne Dandy, the staged readings are a low-pressure way to feed your theatre addiction. To volunteer, please email aadandy at gmail dot com by February 1.  Preference will be given to people who have not performed in a mainstage in the last six months, in order to give more people a chance to participate. Please indicate whether you wish to be considered for this play only, or for all of the 80th Season staged readings.

If you have any questions, please email either Adrienne or Colleen Matthews Daley!
