This year our staged readings will feature the homefront during the first World War; up next is George Bernard Shaw’s O'Flaherty V.C., A Recruiting Pamphlet.

The Process
We will do a readthru and some tablework on Sunday April 30 at the theatre. Then, you'll have TWO WHOLE WEEKS to go over your script, make notes, do research, etc. Finally, we'll rehearse the script on Saturday the 13th, and perform on Saturday night.

About The Play

Dennis O'Flaherty, winner of the Victoria Cross for his outstanding bravery, has returned home to his local village to take part in a recruitment campaign. The twist? His mother doesn’t know he’s been in the British Army.

Directed by Adrienne Dandy, the staged readings are a low-pressure way to start your involvement at KWLT or feed your theatre addiction. To volunteer, please email aadandy at April 23.  Preference will be given to people who are new to the theatre or who have not performed in a mainstage in the last six months, in order to give more people a chance to participate.

If you have any questions, please email Adrienne.

If you're not able to volunteer to be in the play, come out and watch it on the 13th! It's PWYC with proceeds going to KWLT, and we have a Q&A session after!
