Adventurous new Montreal-based vocal collective Phth brings its mind-bending fusion of improvisation, co-composition and new music interpretation to NUMUS. The group will present their daring interpretation of Claude Vivier’s Love Songs and Jennifer Walshe’s Folk Songs. The ensemble features some of the most adventurous vocalists in Canadian contemporary music with practices spanning from extended voice to noise, early music, experimental theatre and contemporary dance. For this performance, they invite local emerging artist Priya Shah as guest performer.
Tickets are $30 general admission, $20 for seniors and arts workers, and $10 for students. Presented by NUMUS as part of their 2018-19 Main Series.
