Call for actors: “Replicas”

Our lit but empty stage

KWLT’s New Works Collective is looking for performers for Replicas, a play by local playwright Derek Czajkowski. The roles are:

  • Dave Bowman (male), a human
  • Alicia (female), a Replica
  • Assistance (any gender), an AI generated voice
  • Dr. Colleen Bradbury (female), a Replica Engineer at Galatea Labs
  • Dr. Wells (male), Supervisor of Galatea Labs
  • Dr. Daniels (any gender), an engineer at Galatea Labs

The same actor can play the parts of Assistance and Dr. Daniels, as these characters are not in the same scenes.

The play: Replicas is set in a post-human future. This play explores the relationships between humans and Replicas, where some Replicas (highly developed cybernetic organisms), may have crossed the line and developed singularity, one of whom may be Alicia.

NOTE: This is only for a table reading. If you’re cast, please read the script before hand to familiarize yourself with your character and the story. You do not need to be off book. There will be no blocking.

Once the roles have been filled, a reading time will be arranged based on room availability at Gaukel St., and actors’ schedules.

If you’re interested in acting, email Derek.
