KWLT’s ultimate theatrical competition is back for its thirteenth year — feeling lucky?
The concept is simple: one short script, with multiple production teams putting their own spin on it. Their renditions are presented back to back, with an adjudicator giving out prizes and the audience voting for a favourite.
The concept is simple; the results tend towards the unhinged. Welcome to March Madness.

Call for scripts
Before we can do anything else, we need a script to work with. KWLT’s March Madness planning team is now accepting submissions for this year’s script selection. See the call for all of the details.
Be a part of it!
We welcome any and all participants from the KWLT community and beyond. There are several ways to take part in March Madness:
- In a production team: We’ll have a call out later this month for people who want to direct, stage manage, or otherwise be part of a team. If you’re champing at the bit to let us know you’re in, though, feel free to send us a note!
- As an actor: Auditions will be held on February 28, 2026 at our theatre (9 Princess Street East, Waterloo). We’ll have signups and more information about what’s expected early in February.
- On the running crew: If you’d like to help out with making the event happen — helping to coordinate backstage, or in the tech booths, or as a front-of-house volunteer — please let us know.
