As part of the 2026 New Works Festival, we’re proud to present the first public reading of Hope You’ve Got a Plan by Talia Dmitrienko on August 17, with discussion to follow.

After a gripping murder discovery shakes Hollywood, Benjamin must navigate the price of fame on loved ones and a biased investigation while hiding a deeper secret.

Casting call

If you’d like to take a part in this reading, please contact Talia. The roles are:

• Emersyn: Woman, 20+, girlfriend of Benjamin who discovers things aren’t what they seem
• Benjamin: Man, 20+, celebrity who is being investigated by the cops while dealing with personal issues
• Amelia: Woman, 20+, friend of Benjamin and Emersyn with secrets of her own
• Detective Johnson: any age/gender, detective leading the investigation who has a grudge against Benjamin

You’ll be expected to attend a rehearsal on August 13, 7-9pm as well as the performance. Memorization is not required.
