Since 2011, Flush Ink Productions has given playwrights an opportunity to produce their theatrical work, the result of bravely plunging into their psyches to find the secrets hidden there. Write or Flight, part of the festival, sees playwrights sent to disturbing locations to write a play inspired and influenced by the environment they’ve been left in – alone – alone with their thoughts.

Over the years, we have sent playwrights to haunted hotel rooms, a barn filled with not quite feral cats (the playwright did not mention she was allergic), mausoleums, empty stores, et al.

Two of this year’s plays were written in isolation as part of Write or Flight, by local playwrights Jenn Weatherall and Maria Colonescu.

Shows are December 13-16; advance tickets are available for Thursday through Saturday for $20. The show on the 13th is pay-what-you-can, cash at the door.
