KWLT’s ultimate theatrical competition is back for its thirteenth year — feeling lucky?
The concept is simple: one short script, with multiple production teams putting their own spin on it. Their renditions are presented back to back, with an adjudicator giving out prizes and the audience voting for a favourite.
The concept is simple; the results tend towards the unhinged. Welcome to March Madness.

Be a part of it!
We welcome any and all participants from the KWLT community and beyond. There are several ways to take part in March Madness:
- In a production team: The call is out — if you’d like to be part of a production team (as a director, stage manager, or other specialist) then check it out and let us know that you’re interested. The team submission deadline is February 20
- As an actor: Auditions will be held on February 28, 2026 at our theatre (9 Princess Street East, Waterloo). Watch this space — the signup form will be up later this week!
- On the running crew: If you’d like to help out with making the event happen — helping to coordinate backstage, or in the tech booths, or as a front-of-house volunteer — please let us know.
