Information night: “Waterloo”

This fall, KWLT presents Waterloo by Zivy Hardy, directed by Jasmine Rajaballey. First presented as part of the 2024 New Works Festival, Waterloo follows Izzy and Sarah, two women working in corporate America.  Their story unfolds over two decades and across a range of media (letters, phone calls, texts, emails, onscreen chats, and in-person interactions).  In the tradition of character-driven women’s theatre, Waterloo shows how Izzy and Sarah’s friendship deepens and strains as they battle interpersonal and systemic sexism, examining how workplace structures shape women’s lives.

Auditions for Waterloo are August 26 and 27 at our theatre (9 Princess Street East). If you’re interested and/or would like to find out more, we invite you to an online information session on August 5, starting at 7pm. You’ll be able to meet the creative team (author/producer, director, and stage manager) who will:

  • share and review the script
  • talk about the play’s themes and the characters
  • give an overview of the production
  • discuss the audition process
  • answer any questions interested you may have

If you are unable to make the information session, the information session will be available to view afterwards from the show webpage.
