The first character we’ll be looking at for KWLT’s production of Ali & Ali: The Deportation Hearings is Sukhvinder (Suki) Dhaliwal. Suki is a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, acting on behalf of Immigration Canada who is investigating Ali & Ali under PEIU (The Provision for the Expulsion of Immigrant Undesirables Act).  As a modern law enforcement officer, she understands the importance of bureaucracy. She follows the social media initiatives of Today’s RCMP to demonstrate transparency, offer flexible processes to respond to culturally specific conditions, and takes sensitivity training workshops. 

She is also a divorced, single mother with child-care problems.
