Hey KW, it’s been a hot minute since we’ve seen a weekend of live improv in town — and the Podcavern is ready to change that with A Little Something Silly!

Join us April 7-8 at the Kitchener-Waterloo Little Theatre for two nights of mischief, mayhem and make-em-ups with some of most talented performers from the region (and beyond!). Each night will feature four fabulous acts guaranteed* to make you giggle with glee. Watch this space over the next couple of weeks as our exciting lineup is announced!

Tickets are available on Eventbrite for $15/night, or $18 at the door (if we don’t sell out in advance!). Get ‘em while they’re hot — we can’t wait to see you there!

In August, six playwrights were sent to disturbing locations where they were left to write a play. They arrived at their destinations with no idea where they were going or what they were going to write, allowing the environment to influence their stories…and it did. Welcome to the Write or Flight RESPONSE.

We’ve been doing this since 2011, and have been amazed with the concepts and quality of writing that has emerged from this. Many plays have gone on to be performed at other festivals and venues. We have sent playwrights to haunted hotel rooms, a barn filled with not quite feral cats (the playwright did not mention she was allergic), mausoleums, empty stores, et al.

Tonight’s schedule of performances:

• 8:00 — Corporate Finch by Taylor Marie Graham
• 9:00 — Rope by Jenn Weatherall
• 9:30 — Heaven’s Knife by Joshua Bosworth
